On November 14, 2015, Nick A., Stella C., Darren C., Nicole G., Lester K., Priscilla L., Evan T., and Ian T. participated in BCIT’s student case competition which involved four Vancouver and four Burnaby secondary schools. School teams were presented with marketing case studies and had to complete the necessary research and analysis before developing a solution to the problem. In the morning, the teams competed on developing a marketing plan for Science World’s SWEET events; and in the afternoon, teams competed on the marketing challenge presented by the Vancouver Aquarium for the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup. With only two hours to prepare, the team from Hamber pulled together a proposal for the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup which won them the Most Creative Solution award and placed them 2nd overall! Congratulations on a job well done! A wonderful experience was had by all!
